HR Manager, Part-time

Location: St Mellons, Cardiff
Hours: 22 hours per week, with flexibility around working pattern

Salary: Flexible, dependent on experience

We're recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join an established organisation in Cardiff on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on generalist position, suited to someone who is confident managing a broad range of HR matters independently while providing practical support to managers and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day generalist HR advice and support across the organisation.
• Manage employee relations matters including grievances, performance and other sensitive or difficult conversations.
• Advise managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Review, develop and maintain HR policies and processes.
• Support employee wellbeing and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Provide practical advice and guidance to managers on people-related matters.
• Manage general recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting managers with vacancies, new starter processes and inductions.
• Work independently, taking ownership of HR issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with external HR/legal advisers where specialist support is required.
• Support the wider development of the HR function as the organisation continues to evolve.

About you

• CIPD qualified, with a completed professional qualification.
• At least 3 years' generalist HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations and employment legislation.
• Able to work autonomously and confidently manage a varied HR workload.
