Software Engineer (II)

Location: Mountain View, CA Salary: $85.00 USD Hourly - $95.00 USD Hourly Description:
1. Overview & Role Details

• Role Title: Software Engineer II (Standard L4 position).
• Role Focus: Pure backend software engineering role. Day-to-day responsibilities include working on ads backend systems, developing models and techniques to understand advertisers better, and building distributed systems pipelines for enforcement.

2. Candidate Requirements & Preferences

• Experience Level: Several years of coding experience post-Bachelor's degree (standard L4 expectation).
• Mandatory vs. Preferred Skills: No hard requirements on specific legacy systems or industry background, but familiarity with Machine Learning, LLMs, and distributed systems are nice-to-have preferences. Ads experience is not mandatory.
• Programming Languages: Open to any programming language, though Python and C++ (or Java) are considered a plus.
• Standout Factors: Candidates will be heavily judged on their hands-on projects or strong open-source projects.

3. Interview Process

• Number of Rounds: 2 rounds focusing on coding and system design.
• Assessments: Includes a coding test/assessment as part of the interview process.

4. Next Steps & Timelines
