Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for a senior or staff-level full stack engineer to build the systems and interfaces that help the world's best and brightest build in the U.S.

You'll work across the entire system, from our internal case management tools and applicant-facing portal to the backend APIs, event pipelines, and AI agents that power them. Some of the problems ahead of us:

• Building agentic systems that automate complex, multi-step legal workflows end-to-end: drafting, reviewing, filing.

• Redesigning our task and workflow orchestration to be more robust and scalable.

• Improving the architecture of our backend services, event system, and scheduled job infrastructure.

• Shipping polished, fast interfaces for both our internal legal-ops team and our customers.

You might be a good fit if:

• You have 4+ years shipping product across frontend and backend.

• You're comfortable working across TypeScript, Python, and React or similar languages.

• You've led projects end to end across the whole stack and shipped to a large customer base.

• You have a solid understanding of workflow orchestration tools.

• You can take a hard problem in a complex, unfamiliar system and drive it to a working solution.

• You have high agency, especially for independent research and problem-solving.

• When something is unclear, we expect you to dig in, research, prototype, and validate with users before looking for sign-off.

• Most coordination happens async so people get long stretches of focused time.

• We're bicoastal but tight-knit - The team is split between San Francisco and New York, and we still operate like one small, close team.
