Aftertreatment Validation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Aftertreatment Validation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI. This role focuses on validating low-emission powertrain and aftertreatment systems through comprehensive emissions testing, data analysis, and calibration optimization to ensure compliance with future regulatory standards.
Rate Range: $40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Aftertreatment Validation Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Plan, execute, and support engine and vehicle dynamometer testing to validate aftertreatment systems and low-emission technologies.
• Analyze emissions test data, perform post-processing, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve calibration performance.
• Identify, document, and communicate calibration or testing issues to technical teams for timely resolution.
• Develop, optimize, and validate emissions calibrations to meet SULEV30, ACCII, Tier 4, and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate test results, findings, and next steps.
• Coordinate test activities, manage test assets and records, and submit test requests to ensure program objectives and timelines are met.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in emissions testing, emissions compliance, and internal combustion engine systems.
• Strong understanding of emissions regulations, certification processes, aftertreatment technologies, and calibration development for low-emission applications.
• Proven experience with dynamometer testing, data acquisition, data analysis, and troubleshooting calibration or emissions-related issues.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
