Pipefitter | Johnstone, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662 + shift allowance

The Role

  • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel, stainless steel).
  • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, and welding pipes, as well as completing installations.
  • Install utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels.
  • Assemble fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure project completion.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.

What You'll Need

  • A Modern Apprenticeship or relevant Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in pipe manufacturing and installation, including use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements and their consistent application.
  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
