Pega Developer – Senior Software Engineer

Role Summary

The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on Pega developer with strong technical expertise and a passion for innovation and modern application development. The candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise workflow and case-management solutions using Pega Infinity ’26.

The candidate should also have exposure to the latest Pega GenAI capabilities and AI-assisted software development, using Pega Infinity and GenAI capabilities to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and modernize engineering processes.

Required Experience

· Minimum 7+ years of hands-on Pega application development experience.

· Hands-on experience with Pega Infinity 25.x/26, with preference for Pega Infinity ’26 experience.

· Strong experience with Pega Constellation architecture and Constellation UI.

· Strong knowledge of:

o Case Management

o Case Types, Stages and Processes

o Data Pages and Data Objects

o Integration Services

o Decisioning

o Flows and Business Rules

o UI development

o Security and Role-Based Access

o Reporting

o SLAs and Assignment Processing

· Strong experience integrating Pega with REST APIs and enterprise applications.

· Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations, including authentication, request/response processing, exception handling, and integration failures.

· Understanding of Pega guardrails, reusable design patterns, application architecture, and performance best practices.

· Experience with Pega DevOps, deployment pipelines, branching, rulesets, and application lifecycle management.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex application, integration, and performance issues.

· Experience participating in technical design reviews and code reviews.

· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

AI / GenAI

Experience or strong working knowledge of:

· Pega GenAI capabilities

· Pega GenAI Blueprint

· AI-assisted application development

· GenAI-assisted case and workflow development

· Intelligent automation and AI-driven decisioning

· AI-assisted summarization and content generation

· Identifying opportunities to apply AI/GenAI to improve business processes and developer productivity

Hands-on implementation experience with Pega GenAI capabilities is strongly preferred.

Certification

· Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA/PCSSA) – Required

· Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA/PCLSA) – Preferred

· Certification must be current/valid and should be included with the candidate submission.

Preferred Experience

· Experience modernizing legacy workflow/case-management applications to Pega.

· Experience with healthcare, dental, insurance, claims, clinical, enrollment, provider management, or contact-center applications.

· Experience integrating Pega with Java/Spring Boot APIs, document/content management platforms, data platforms, and reporting solutions.

· Experience working in large enterprise Agile delivery environments.

Senior-Level Expectations

The candidate must be a hands-on senior developer, capable of independently owning complex development assignments, participating in solution/design discussions, troubleshooting technical issues, performing code reviews, and mentoring other developers.

Candidates whose experience is primarily coordination or oversight without recent hands-on Pega development experience will not be suitable for this role.
