Our client seeks a Tech Lead to deliver upgraded capabilities within a PeopleSoft and PeopleTools upgrade. The role requires substantial experience with PeopleSoft Financials modules such as AP, AR, Billing, and GL, and integration with other enterprise systems. The Tech Lead will collaborate with operations and support teams, lead complex troubleshooting, and guide design, development, and implementation activities across platforms and methodologies.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Lead delivery of upgraded capabilities within PeopleSoft and PeopleTools, with focus on PeopleSoft Financials and system integrations.
  • Solve complex problems, manage assignments, and provide leadership with minimal supervision.
  • Lead troubleshooting of complex issues and drive implementation of fixes across systems and applications.
  • Communicate downtimes, change management updates, status, issues, and defects to users and IT leadership.
  • Present complex technical information in an understandable manner in both oral and written form.
  • Work with vendors to implement projects and support applications, including break-fix, maintenance, user support, and small projects.
  • Utilize waterfall and agile methodologies to develop and maintain applications.
  • Serve as SME and Technical Lead, guiding design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Coordinate maintenance for emergency patches, service packs, and software upgrades in partnership with operations and DBAs.
  • Apply Human Performance tools during testing and implementation activities.
  • Provide recommendations and assist in decision making at a portfolio level.
  • Research and analyze new technology and design solutions based on defined requirements.
  • Program and direct other programmers across languages, SQL, reporting, and ETL.
  • Assist with testing and code migrations through test regions, ensuring adherence to design, coding, and source control standards.
  • Lead system design and code walkthroughs as presenter or reviewer.
  • Process Change Requests and QA documentation for implementations and support changes.
  • Recommend process enhancements and standards for assigned areas.
  • Coach and mentor IT Application Analysts and lead corporate and division initiatives.
  • Assist management with strategic and tactical planning and manage day-to-day team assignments.
  • Support occasional after-hours work, particularly during the first six days of the month and as ticket volumes require.
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent with PeopleSoft, including PeopleTools FCM upgrade experience.
  • Substantial experience with PeopleSoft Financials modules (AP, AR, Billing, GL) and integrations with other enterprise systems.
  • Ten years of coding, troubleshooting, problem-solving, logical design, SQL coding, business requirements analysis, vendor management, root cause analysis, and adherence to enterprise standards and processes.
  • Experience working with operations and support teams. Finance tools background preferred.
  • PeopleTools experience preferred. Batch scheduling and after-hours support experience considered.
  • MSP experience is a plus.
  • Expert technical issue resolution and experience with schema and database design preferred.
  • Previous management and technical lead experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership of others and of an application portfolio.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of related business experience.
