We are hiring for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer Consultant with one of our clients.

Position: Senior Data Engineer Consultant
Location: Remote
Experience: 10+ Years

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer Consultant with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise data pipelines and data products. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL, and Python, along with end-to-end ownership of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and support enterprise data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL, and Python.

  • Build and optimize Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers using ETL/ELT processes.

  • Develop scalable data models, pipeline orchestration, and data quality solutions.

  • Translate business requirements into production-ready technical solutions.

  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, DataOps, monitoring, and pipeline observability.

  • Troubleshoot UAT and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

  • Create reusable engineering patterns and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders in Agile environments.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

  • Advanced SQL and Python programming.

  • ETL/ELT development and pipeline orchestration.

  • Data warehousing and dimensional data modeling.

  • Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).

  • Performance tuning, data quality, and production support.

  • Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

  • Agile development and delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI, semantic modeling, and analytics enablement.

  • Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or Control-M.

  • AI-assisted development and agentic workflows.

  • Experience delivering commercial, customer, quality, field-service, or operational reporting data products.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.

  • Ability to independently manage technical deliverables and dependencies.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience delivering scalable, maintainable, production-grade data solutions.
