Job Description
RightDirection Technology Solutions seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high availability networks for federal and commercial clients. In this role, you will configure and support routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-connected networks while ensuring performance, resilience, and security compliance. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement monitoring and automation, and contribute to architecture improvements. Working in a mission driven, collaborative team, you'll gain exposure to modern cybersecurity, cloud, and systems engineering tools with strong support for training and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN and wireless network infrastructure
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs for federal and commercial clients
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security; implement tuning and optimization
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages in a timely manner
- Support network security initiatives, including segmentation, hardening, and compliance
- Contribute to network architecture, capacity planning, and cloud connectivity designs
- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change records
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and cloud teams on integrated solutions
- Support implementation of monitoring, automation, and configuration management tools
- Participate in on-call or after-hours maintenance windows as needed
