Network Engineer

RightDirection Technology Solutions seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high availability networks for federal and commercial clients. In this role, you will configure and support routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-connected networks while ensuring performance, resilience, and security compliance. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement monitoring and automation, and contribute to architecture improvements. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN/WAN and wireless network infrastructure
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs for federal and commercial clients
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security; implement tuning and optimization
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages in a timely manner
• Support network security initiatives, including segmentation, hardening, and compliance
• Contribute to network architecture, capacity planning, and cloud connectivity designs
• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and change records
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and cloud teams on integrated solutions
• Support implementation of monitoring, automation, and configuration management tools
• Participate in on-call or after-hours maintenance windows as needed
