HVAC Service Engineer

SERVICE ENGINEER - HVAC Location: Hereford / South Wales Salary: £52,000-£55,000 DOE Hours: 50 hours per week Following the retirement of a long-standing engineer, an established engineering business is looking to bring an experienced HVAC Service Engineer into its regional team. This is an established position with an existing customer base and a strong focus on AHUs and associated HVAC equipment. You'll be carrying out planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, refurbishment, modifications and commissioning across a range of customer sites.

THE ROLE:

• Servicing, maintaining and fault finding on AHUs and associated HVAC plant
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Completing repairs, refurbishment, modifications and commissioning
• Attending customer sites to diagnose faults and provide technical support
• Working on HVAC equipment including AHUs, VRV, VRF, splits and associated systems
• Participating in a 1 in 5 emergency call-out rota
• Completing site risk assessments and working safely at customer locations
• Maintaining F-Gas records and compliance
• Supporting apprentices and less experienced engineers where required WORKING HOURS & TRAVEL:
• 50-hour working week
• 2 hours of travel paid upfront every day, regardless of whether you actually spend 2 hours travelling
• 1 in 5 call-out rota

ABOUT YOU:

We're looking for an experienced HVAC engineer with a strong background in AHU servicing, maintenance and fault finding. You'll need:

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• F-Gas qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong HVAC service and maintenance experience
• Good AHU experience is particularly important
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Good customer-facing and communication skills
• Confidence working independently Experience with VRV, VRF, splits or close control systems would be beneficial. Chiller experience is not essential and can be trained where required. PACKAGE:
• £52,000-£55,000 salary
