Job Description

Requirements Analyst Location: Suffolk, VA – Onsite
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Starting at $90,000 annually
Security Clearance: Active Secret Required Position Overview SDA Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Requirements Analyst to join our team in Suffolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements, support product development, and ensure alignment with project objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in Agile development environments. An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Active Secret security clearance. Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a related field. Experience/Abilities Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Extract, analyze, validate, and manage project requirements throughout the effort's lifecycle.

Decompose complex problems, identify dependencies, resolve conflicts, and prioritize requirements and project needs. Experience authoring requirements, including epics and user stories, while adhering to established best practices. Communicate business needs to technical teams, facilitate requirements sessions, and use mediation and conflict-resolution techniques to help stakeholders reach a common understanding and agreement. Identify and escalate potential requirements gaps to senior project and customer leadership. Conduct product demonstrations for project stakeholders.

Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team, including direct coordination with developers and subject matter experts (SMEs). Conduct product testing and maintain quality assurance of products. Demonstrate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies. Translate business requirements into a functional development backlog and serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring alignment of work delivery with overall product strategy and customer value.

Abstract, synthesize, and communicate complex requirements, adapting communication approaches and styles based on the audience. Experience using project management software such as Jira. Nice to Have Demonstrated experience bridging the gap between mission stakeholders and data science teams to document use cases, data dependencies, and acceptance criteria for AI-enabled system integrations.
