Our client, an investment management firm in New York, is hiring a Technical Business Analyst to improve business processes and support data-driven decisions across its fundraising activity.

This role MUST HAVE either Salesforce experience OR fundraising team experience!

Responsibilities

1. Analyze the fundraising pipeline along with performance measures and investor engagement figures to inform business strategy
2. Collect business requirements from fundraising colleagues, analyze current processes and find operational improvements
3. Produce recurring and ad hoc analytical reports for senior stakeholders
4. Maintain and advise on CRM records for the fundraising and investor relations groups, cleansing data, building dashboards and reports, and automating processes
5. Build complex formulas and pivot tables in Excel, validate data and automate reporting
6. Serve as the link between technology teams and the fundraising and investor relations groups, keeping data capture accurate and processes aligned
7. Help design and document investment management processes, from raising capital to onboarding clients and reporting to investors
8. Facilitate user acceptance testing and train end users when required

Requirements

1. 4+ years of business analysis experience in investment management
2. Bachelor's degree in a field such as business, finance, economics or information systems
3. Prior experience alongside fundraising or investor relations staff at an investment manager
4. Solid grasp of how a firm's CRM records the fundraising lifecycle
5. Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, SUMIFS, data modeling and charting
6. Knowledge of the data flows that feed fundraising and investor relations
7. Exceptional communication, analysis and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail
8. Can independently manage several projects at once and keep pace in a fast-moving environment
9. Familiarity with BI and reporting tools
