HR Advisor
London (Hybrid) | Full Time | £55,000-£65,000 + Benefits
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced HR professional to join a growing consultancy business as an HR Advisor. Working closely with the People Director, you'll play an important role in supporting employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle while helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist who enjoys a varied role and is looking to broaden their experience within a fast-paced and growing organisation.
You'll support employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, people processes and employee engagement initiatives, helping to create a positive and professional employee experience across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Support employee relations matters including absence management, performance issues, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Assist managers with the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, letters and employee communications.
- Escalate complex employee relations matters to the People Director where appropriate.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activity across the business.
- Support hiring managers with interview scheduling and recruitment administration.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and support new starters through probation.
Learning, Development & Employee Experience
- Coordinate training and development activities across the business.
- Maintain training records and support the administration of development programmes.
- Assist with employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support internal communications and people-related events.
- Help create a positive employee experience and inclusive workplace culture.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Ensure HR documentation is up to date and compliant with employment legislation.
- Support payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
- Assist with HR reporting and data management.
HR Projects & Process Improvement
- Support the implementation of people initiatives and HR projects.
- Assist with reviewing and improving HR processes and documentation.
- Help gather employee feedback and engagement data.
- Contribute ideas for improving the employee experience and HR service delivery.
About You

You'll Bring
- 3-7 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and employee relations.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in supporting employees and managers.
Preferred Sector Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience within:
- Management Consulting
- Technology Consulting
- Professional Services
- Business Services
Candidates from other sectors with strong generalist HR experience will also be considered.
While sector experience is not essential, we're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic, people-focused environment and supporting a diverse range of employees and managers.
