Description
SAIC is seeking an Acquisition Specialist & Program Management team member to support Senior Leadership and Program Element Monitors (PEMs) working space programs in the Space Capability Delivery Directorate (SAF/SQS) of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Space Acquisition and Integration at the Pentagon (SAF/SQ) in Arlington, Virginia.
SAF/SQS provides headquarters oversight and advocacy for the planning, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of a complex and dynamic portfolio of space capabilities of the highest national priority. The Acquisition Specialist/Workflow & Program Management expert shall act as a program integrator for SAF/SQS and serves as prime monitor of tasks, training, read-ahead material for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives. The successful applicant shall serve as a liaison between the SAF/SQS Front Office Staff and Program Element Monitors responsible for maintaining awareness of and assisting with proper execution of tasks as assigned by the Task Management Tool system (TMT). The SME will serve as the primary administrator for TMT, managing the intake, routing, tracking and closure of organizational taskings.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain visibility of task status, identify risks to deadlines, and coordinate follow-ups to ensure accurate and on-time completion.
  • Advise and provide guidance to the PEMs and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding requests on program details, acquisition strategies, contracting, and program budgeting as assigned by TMT
  • Monitor incoming TMT actions daily and assign tasks within 24 hours to the appropriate directorates or external stakeholders. Maintain visibility of task status, identify risks to deadlines, and coordinate follow-ups to ensure on-time completion
  • Assist the Program Integration Team on the development of content (briefings, papers, executive summaries, etc) for senior leadership meetings
  • Assist with the development, tracking, and updating of PEM related training products
  • Assist with tracking, reviewing for accuracy and completeness of Directorate's assigned Congressional Reporting Requirements (CRRs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Monitor internal chat forums with various teams to ensure awareness, status, issues of staff work, team members coverage and availability, and leadership intent

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years or more demonstrated experience in DoD acquisitions or program management
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Acquisition experience
  • PPB&E experience (Programming, Planning, Budget & Execution System)
  • Commanders Action Group experience
  • TMT experience (Dept of AF's tasking tool) and Pentagon documents and staffing experience
  • Classified Network experience SIPRnet, JWICs, or similar

  • Space Acquisition, Acceptable DOD (or Dept of War, Intelligence Community) Acquisition
