Job Description
The Business Operations Associate will support equipment, systems, and day-to-day manufacturing operations within a GMP cell therapy facility. This junior-level role works closely with Manufacturing Operations, Facilities & Engineering, Technical Services, Quality, Supply Chain, Automation, and Validation to help maintain equipment readiness and manufacturing continuity.
Responsibilities include coordinating equipment and facility work, tracking work orders and service requests, supporting vendor activities, assisting with equipment downtime and return-to-service coordination, monitoring spare parts and materials, supporting equipment-related quality events and CAPAs, and maintaining audit readiness.
The position may also support manufacturing inventory activities, material availability, inventory discrepancy resolution, equipment transfers, 5S activities, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
Position details:
- Hourly rate: $25.80–$30.80;
- Contract length: 6 months with possible extension;
- Start date: September 7, 2026;
- Location: Devens, MA;
- Work arrangement: 100% onsite;
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours, with weekend or holiday support as required;
- Maximum hours: 40 hours per week;
- W-2 contract position;
- No C2C options;
- No visa sponsorship.
Work is performed in a cell therapy manufacturing facility and may include classified areas requiring appropriate gowning and PPE.
Required:
- Associate degree, or 1–3 years of relevant experience in a GMP-regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or related scientific or engineering field;
- Manufacturing operations or manufacturing-support experience in a regulated environment;
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment;
- High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Lean process knowledge;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules, including weekend and holiday support as required;
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

- Experience with DeltaV;
- Experience with SAP;
- Experience with Maximo;
- Lean Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
