One of our clients in Luxembourg is searching for a Custody Consultant to join their investment services team and support the end-to-end investment transaction process across the securities value chain.

The Custody Consultant will work closely with Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure a seamless and compliant investment experience for clients and internal stakeholders.

This role combines operational excellence with regulatory oversight, offering exposure to complex investment processes and transformation initiatives.

Required Tasks;

  • Supporting Front Office and Operations users on advisory and transaction platforms.
  • Analysing and resolving issues across the securities transaction lifecycle, including order initiation, execution, settlement, corporate actions, and transfers.
  • Performing root cause analysis and coordinating with IT teams to implement and validate solutions.
  • Executing functional and non-regression testing to ensure system changes are delivered successfully.
  • Validating new features and releases while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring investment-related controls, including target market compliance and transaction anomalies.
  • Producing periodic reports and highlighting operational or regulatory risks.
  • Maintaining operational procedures, workflows, and technical documentation.
  • Supporting audit activities by providing evidence, documentation, and control traceability.
  • Collaborating with business, compliance, and technology stakeholders to continuously improve investment processes and lifecycle.

Required previous skills;

  • 3 to 6 years of experience within banking, investment operations, or a custody services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the securities value chain, including orders, settlement, corporate actions, and transfers.
  • Experience working with advisory platforms, order management systems, custody systems, or similar investment tools.
  • Good knowledge of MiFID requirements, including appropriateness, suitability, and target market concepts.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functional testing, or change validation is considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business stakeholders.
  • A customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Eligibility to work onsite in Luxembourg is a must a must for this role
