Solutions Architect (Only W2)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, cloud technologies, and modern Java development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing large-scale applications, distributed transactions, event sourcing, system synchronization, and cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kafka, Java, and Spring Boot.

This role will contribute to the architecture and evolution of the technology environment supporting DonorPro, including mobile applications, backend services, messaging, data platforms, and offline synchronization.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Software Architect.

• Strong experience designing large-scale distributed systems and enterprise architectures.

• Hands-on experience with Event Sourcing, event-driven architecture, and messaging patterns.

• Strong knowledge of Kafka and distributed messaging systems.

• Experience with Saga Pattern and distributed transaction management.

• Expertise in system synchronization, state management, and offline-first application architecture.

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud and cloud-native application architecture.

• Hands-on experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot.

• Experience with GraphQL and API architecture.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and data architecture.

• Experience integrating complex enterprise systems and third-party platforms.

• Ability to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate emerging technologies.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps processes.

• Experience with GitLab and GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of modern mobile application architecture, preferably React Native.

• Experience working in SAFe Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise and solution architecture for highly scalable distributed applications.

• Design event-driven and distributed systems using Kafka, Event Sourcing, and Saga patterns.

• Architect solutions for distributed transactions, state management, and system synchronization.

• Design cloud-native solutions using AWS services.

• Provide technical direction for Java/Spring Boot backend services.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on React Native mobile application architecture.

• Design and integrate APIs using GraphQL and modern integration patterns.

• Evaluate technology options and develop Proofs of Concept to validate architectural decisions.

• Establish best practices for scalability, reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.

• Support CI/CD automation and DevOps practices using GitLab.

• Work closely with product owners, developers, QA, and business stakeholders in a SAFe Agile environment.
