Job Description

IT Security Engineer | Washington, DC, United States | Remote | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00 We're hiring on behalf of a leading technology solutions provider that consistently pushes the boundaries of innovation and mission success. They are seeking a dedicated IT Security Engineer to join a mission-focused team. The Role • Design, develop, and implement secure systems within on-premises infrastructure. • Leverage expertise in security technologies and industry best practices to integrate security throughout the system lifecycle. • Ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and relevant security requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ISSOs, ISSMs, software and system engineers, and government counterparts. • Perform full spectrum systems and cyber security engineering tasks to meet diverse regulatory compliance frameworks. • Support secure architecture, design, and implementation of DoD systems in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-53. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree is accepted. • An active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph. • At least one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II certifications: CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, or CASP+ CE. • Experience reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, assessing risk, and planning for mitigation/remediation. • Proficiency in architecting, designing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and deploying vulnerability scanning solutions. • Familiarity with tools such as XACTA or EMass.
