Job Description

IT Security Engineer | Arlington, VA, United States | Remote | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00 We're hiring on behalf of a leading technology and defense solutions provider known for its innovative approach and commitment to national security. This is an opportunity to join a mission-focused team that values collaboration and professional development, working on cutting-edge projects that have a significant impact. The Role • Design, develop, and implement secure systems in on-premises infrastructure. • Integrate security into the system design, development, testing, and deployment phases. • Ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and relevant security guidance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ISSOs, developers, and system engineers. • Support secure architecture and design in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 and NIST SP 800-53. • Lead RMF activities within the system development lifecycle (SDLC). What You'll Need • BS degree and 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph. • At least one DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II certification (CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, or CASP+ CE). • Experience reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and planning mitigations. • Demonstrated experience with vulnerability scanning solutions and RMF process support. • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux/UNIX) and networking.
