HR Manager to own and operate the firm’s people infrastructure end-to-end.
This is not an administrative HR role — this is a high-impact operator position responsible for recruiting support, onboarding, HR systems, compliance, and continuous process improvement. Your work directly impacts hiring quality, employee performance, compliance, and overall business growth.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and applicable state labor regulations
Own the administration of the firm's employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
Lead annual open enrollment, including employee communications, enrollment support, eligibility management, and issue resolution
Manage employee life events, benefits eligibility changes, COBRA administration, and ongoing vendor relationships
Manage employee handbook updates, policy revisions, and compliance communications to ensure policies remain current and legally compliant
Support compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and applicable state regulations.
Partner with legal counsel or PEO providers as needed.
Training & Development Coordination
Develop, manage, and track completion of required training programs and certifications
Maintain training logs and compliance records
Partner with department heads to identify and close training gaps
Manage LMS or training documentation systems
HR Systems & Data
Own and maintain the HRIS (employee records, compensation, status changes)
Ensure data accuracy across all people systems
Manage onboarding documentation, background checks, and I-9 workflows
Performance Management Support
Manage performance review cycles and ensure timely completion
Support managers with feedback delivery and performance plans
Track KPIs tied to performance and incentives
Process Improvement
Identify and eliminate inefficient or broken HR processes
Build SOPs for recurring HR workflows
Report process improvements and impact to leadership
Provide leadership support to contingent team members
3–6 years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience
~Experience in managing benefits is required (partnering with brokers, negotiations, and open enrollment administration)
~ Experience supporting recruiting (posting, screening, coordination, compensation proposals)
~ Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
~ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a law firm, professional services, or high-growth company
Experience building or improving onboarding programs
Familiarity with legal recruiting (attorneys, paralegals, intake roles)
Experience with ATS platforms (Bamboo, RecruitIQ)
Experience implementing or migrating HR systems
Onboarding is consistent, structured, and high-quality
HR systems are accurate, organized, and actionable
Recruiting pipelines move quickly with no stalled roles
Leadership trusts the People Operations function completely
