Technical Lead Senior Software Developer with Security Clearance

Eliassen is looking for a Sr. Software Developer Technical Lead who wants their work to matter. This role is for someone who is passionate about building reliable, modern software. The right candidate will bring technical depth, leadership maturity, and a strong sense of ownership to help strengthen the digital systems behind Armed Forces Mutual's member-first mission: serving those who served and the families who stand behind them. The role will be 80-85% leadership, 15-20% hands on development.

Location: Remote with quarterly visits to Reston, VA (client prefers somewhat local)
Clearance: Public Trust Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable .NET applications using C# programming language and SQL database.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and ongoing support.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our development processes.

Skills Needed

• Bachelor's degree in computer science of other computer related disciplines. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years' experience in IT and 3+ years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands-on experience developing custom applications and integrations using C# programming language.
• 5+ years of experience in web development using Microsoft technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience and 3+ years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in developing custom applications and integrations using .Net standard, .Net core frameworks, C#, MVC, Web API, aspx Web forms, and REST API.
• 5+ years of experience in handling Microsoft SQL server databases using ADO.net, Entity Framework, and writing efficient and complex SQL queries.
• 5+ years of experience in designing front-end applications using JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
• Experience configuring and implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience working with data sources, APIs, and integration tools to ensure seamless data flow and accurate data management within the HubSpot ecosystem.
• Broad understanding of SDLC concepts as well as system design including REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, SOAP.
• Proven experience with data management and governance best practices including privacy and consent.
• Experience with Agile development processes is preferred
• Proven experience leading technical teams, coordinating cross-functional delivery, mentoring engineers, and driving accountability across development, support, and production operations.
