Software Applications Developer II
Location: Anaheim, California (On-site)
Role Overview
This position supports project and business applications for a major public sector account. The primary responsibility involves the maintenance of business applications, including upgrade initiatives, development of apps, reports, and interfaces, as well as user support and application testing. The role is critical in ensuring the stability and functionality of key systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain various applications, including application upgrades and patch maintenance.
• Develop and maintain related applications and interfaces to support departmental initiatives.
• Gather business requirements and document specifications for development projects.
• Migrate and test the implementation of business applications from a .net to a .gov domain.
• Remediate applications for compliance with WCAG/ADA accessibility rules.
• Implement and enforce processes for application migration, testing, and support maintenance.
• Provide production support for business applications, technical environments, and interfacing systems.
• Prioritize and assign target completion dates for fixes and change orders.
• Follow existing business processes and operational guidelines for application support and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely services and deliverables.
• Follow through on project development and production issues to ensure resolution.
• Coordinate with staff and software vendors for application support and issue resolution.
• Support 24x7 business operations and be available onsite during business hours.

Required Qualifications
Education: A college degree, preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Computer Engineering, is required.
Experience:

• A minimum of three years of hands-on coding experience using SQL.
• A minimum of three years of work experience as an applications developer using C# and the .NET platform.
• A minimum of three years of work experience using the Linux platform.
• A minimum of two years of work experience developing reports using tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Cognos.
• A minimum of two years of work experience with container platforms such as Docker or Podman.
• A minimum of two years of experience in Java development, CI/CD, and containerization.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and issue resolution.
• Ability to multi-task and provide off-hours support for production-related issues.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and documentation skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a multi-platform technical environment.
