QA / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – AI-Assisted Engineering

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer / SDET with strong hands-on experience in testing modern full-stack applications and a passion for leveraging AI-powered development and testing tools such as Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and similar platforms.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating end-to-end product features across micro-frontend applications, APIs, Java Spring Boot and Python backend services, with a strong focus on automation, quality engineering, and validating AI-generated code before production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for full-stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Test frontend applications built using Angular, React, TypeScript, Stencil, and JavaScript.
• Validate backend services and APIs developed using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor to accelerate test design, test automation, and defect analysis.
• Validate AI-generated code and ensure functional correctness, security, performance, reliability, and maintainability before production deployment.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations across microservices.
• Perform database and data validation across MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and architects throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot defects and support root-cause analysis.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Promote TDD, quality engineering, defensive programming, and shift-left testing practices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional QA, test automation, or SDET experience.
• Strong experience testing modern full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience testing Java/Spring Boot and Python-based services.
• Experience testing applications built with Angular, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with REST API testing and automation.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL, including SQL-based data validation.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
• Experience testing applications deployed on AWS.
• Strong understanding of test strategy, test automation, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to validate and challenge AI-generated code and tests, rather than relying solely on AI-generated results.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Experience using AI to generate and enhance test cases, automation scripts, and test data.
• Experience with modern frontend architectures including micro-frontends and web components.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance, security, and reliability testing.
• Experience testing AI agents and the tooling, workflows, and harnesses supporting agentic applications.
• Strong understanding of 12-Factor App principles and testing cloud-native microservices.
