Job Description

Our client is a well-established designer and manufacturer of specialist power conversion, voltage stabilisation, USB charging and connectivity solutions, supplying customers across a diverse range of global industries. Their products support critical applications in sectors including automotive, rail, communications, marine, mining, agriculture and industrial technology.
As part of their continued international growth, they are seeking a commercially minded and adaptable Technical Sales Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently engage with customers across multiple markets and industries.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a true commercial chameleon; someone who can seamlessly switch between sectors, understand differing customer challenges, and build credibility with everyone from engineers and procurement teams to business owners and senior decision-makers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth across existing accounts and developing new opportunities throughout international markets. French language skills would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong international sales experience and additional European language capabilities are also encouraged to apply.
Offering a hybrid working arrangement, this position combines autonomy with collaboration and provides the opportunity to represent an innovative manufacturer on a global stage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth across a broad portfolio of industries and territories.
  • Identify, secure and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with OEMs, distributors, integrators and end users.
  • Build and develop business across international markets, with a particular focus on French-speaking territories.
  • Understand customer applications and provide commercially viable technical solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer meetings both in the UK and internationally.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations and commercial agreements.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and deliver against sales objectives.
About You
  • Fluent in English, with French language skills highly desirable.
  • Proven success within technical sales, business development or account management within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Comfortable operating across multiple sectors and engaging with a wide range of customer types.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a track record of delivering profitable growth.
  • Naturally curious, adaptable and confident learning new products, applications and markets.
  • Able to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and able to manage priorities independently.
  • Willing to travel internationally as required.
What's on Offer
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • International customer exposure
  • Opportunity to work across multiple industries and technologies
  • Established and respected manufacturer with ambitious growth plans
  • High degree of autonomy and responsibility
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
