Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Automation Engineer to help transform and scale security operations through AI-driven automation, intelligent workflows, and enterprise-grade software solutions. This role will support a large Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) environment focused on improving incident response efficiency, reducing false positives, and enabling security analysts to focus on high-value investigative and response activities.
This is a highly visible, hands-on engineering role that combines software development, AI implementation, automation, cloud technologies, and solution architecture. The ideal candidate will work directly with cybersecurity leaders, technical stakeholders, and engineering teams to design, build, and deploy AI-powered capabilities that enhance security operations across the enterprise.
This is an end-to-end ownership role where you'll help define requirements, make architectural recommendations, develop solutions, and guide implementations from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions that improve cybersecurity operations and incident response workflows.
- Build intelligent automation capabilities that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency across security teams.
- Develop AI agents, software applications, workflows, and integrations to support security operations use cases.
- Partner with CSOC leadership and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
- Participate in architecture discussions and help define scalable enterprise solutions.
- Design and implement integrations utilizing APIs, cloud services, databases, and security platforms.
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications, automation frameworks, and backend services.
- Utilize AWS services and AI platforms to build secure, scalable solutions.
- Work within GitHub-based development environments and CI/CD workflows.
- Create technical designs, implementation plans, and architectural documentation.
- Collaborate within cross-functional PODs consisting of project managers, subject matter experts, and technical teams.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions that align with business and security objectives.
- Support deployment, monitoring, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of implemented solutions.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide AI adoption and automation initiatives.
- 8+ years of software engineering, automation engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or related experience.
- Strong Python development experience with the ability to build, read, troubleshoot, and enhance production code.
- Experience developing enterprise applications, automation frameworks, or platform integrations.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integration patterns.
- Experience working within GitHub-based development environments and source control best practices.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS.
- Experience with AWS services such as:
- IAM
- S3
- Cloud-based application services
- Security and access management concepts
- Strong systems-thinking and architectural mindset.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience owning projects from requirements gathering through implementation and production support.
