Job Description

Job Description
Director of Human Resources
Lead People Strategy at Long Island's Premier Pain Management Practice
Groth Pain & Spine is growing — and as we expand, we need an experienced HR leader to build the people-first foundation that keeps pace with us. This is a rare opportunity to shape HR strategy from a leadership seat at a thriving, multidisciplinary healthcare practice, rather than simply administer policy within one.

We're looking for a Director of Human Resources who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution — someone who understands that in a practice built around compassionate patient care, taking care of our people isn't a side function, it's the foundation everything else stands on.

Real ownership — build and refine HR infrastructure, policy, and programs across a rapidly growing multi-location practice
Competitive compensation — $120,000–$165,000 salary range, plus health insurance, paid holidays, PTO, performance bonuses, and 401(k)
Develop and lead the organization's overall HR strategy, aligning people’s initiatives with practice growth goals
Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, ensuring the practice attracts and retains top clinical and administrative talent
Design and manage compensation, benefits, and performance management programs
Lead employee relations efforts, fostering a positive, high-integrity workplace culture
Ensure compliance with employment law, healthcare workforce regulations, and practice policy across all locations
Build and mentor an HR team capable of supporting a growing, multi-site organization
Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs for clinical and non-clinical staff
Manage HR budgets, vendor relationships, and HRIS systems
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or SHRM/HRCI certification preferred)
Significant progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within healthcare or a multi-site organization
Proven ability to lead HR strategy while remaining comfortable with hands-on, day-to-day execution
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Note: This position may require travel between multiple practice locations.
