Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of Construction, the Construction Project Manager will plan and oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. This role is responsible for budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, contract negotiations, and ensuring delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven experience managing commercial projects valued from $1M–$50M+.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Financial and contractual acumen.
- Collaborative, team-first mindset with strong client-service orientation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
- Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Oversee contract administration, including RFPs, bid analysis, and change orders.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Review construction documents and shop drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and close-out packages.
