Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a Network infrastructure Technical Program Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Manage Network infrastructure projects - build strong relationships between various cross functional teams
  • Track site execution and inspections to ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards
  • Monitor project costs and expenses, comparing actuals against the budget while also identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternatives
  • Track and review contractor invoices; Compare and track baseline from actual and report variances
  • Responsible for project buy-out including developing bid packages, working with Procurement to issue RFP's, writing contracts and Scopes of Work, and issuing Work Orders; Conduct weekly review progress meetings with project teams to identify scope gaps, risks, project goals, and recovery plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, industry standards, and codes; Communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders from contractors, Design/Engineering, and QA/Commissioning teams
  • Define the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and work breakdown structure; Develop comprehensive project plans that outline the tasks, timeline, and resources required
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules that include all project activities, dependencies, and milestones; Identify the critical path and ensuring that tasks on the critical path are prioritized to avoid delays in the project
  • Regularly review the project's progress against the baseline schedule and adjusting as needed; Use earned schedule management techniques to forecast future project performance and identify potential schedule slippage early
  • Communicate schedule status and progress to stakeholders and upper management through regular updates and reports
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial technical program/project management, or engineering
  • Experience managing projects in large manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Ability to problem solve, multitask, and prioritize project objectives
  • Project will require long hours, looking for ambitious and tenacious team members
  • Proficiency in using scheduling tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera to create detailed Gantt charts and timelines
  • Experienced in reading, interpreting, and implementing Contract Documents, Project Drawings and Specifications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev ops is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
