Handle daily accounting functions and maintain accurate financial records
Review and reconcile ledger activity to identify and correct discrepancies
Assist with monthly financial close processes and reporting deadlines
Analyze account activity and maintain accuracy across financial data
Support preparation of internal financial reports and audit documentation
Monitor cash activity and assist with tracking organizational expenditures
Process and review accounting transactions for completeness and accuracy
Assist leadership with budget tracking and financial analysis
Maintain organized accounting files and supporting records
Collaborate with internal departments regarding financial questions and reporting needs
Ensure accounting practices remain compliant with organizational standards and accounting guidelines
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience
Experience with general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in financial records
Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism
Experience working in nonprofit accounting environments
Exposure to audit preparation and financial reporting
Knowledge of fund accounting or grant-related reporting is helpful
CPA track or advanced accounting education is a plus
