We are committed to supporting long-term and accelerated career growth, both within CBIZ and across the broader private equity ecosystem.\n\nAbout the Role\nOur CFO Advisory team provides hands-on accounting and finance support to private equity-backed portfolio companies across a variety of industries throughout the U.S.\n\nAs a Manager (Principal), you will serve as a senior finance operator and leader embedded within client engagements.

You will be responsible for executing critical accounting and finance workstreams, preparing key deliverables, and supporting engagement leadership in driving overall client outcomes.\n\nThis role provides the opportunity to work directly with portfolio company management teams during periods of growth, transition, and operational change.\n\nYou will:\n\n Execute on accounting and finance workstreams within a structured engagement model\n Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for client stakeholders within your assigned scope\n Support engagement leadership in planning, coordination, and delivery of key outputs\n Contribute to client discussions and presentations, including status updates\n\n\nEssential Functions and Primary Duties\nProvide hands-on accounting and finance support to private equity-backed companies, including:\n\n Post-acquisition integration support\n Financial reporting and close process improvement\n Audit readiness and preparation\n Working capital, cash flow, and operational finance analysis\n Prepare high-quality analyses, schedules, and deliverables that are accurate, well-structured, and client-ready\n Support the execution of engagement workplans by managing assigned workstreams and meeting established timelines\n Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, including controllers, CFOs, and private equity representatives, within the scope of assigned responsibilities\n Participate in client meetings, including regular status discussions, providing updates and supporting materials as needed\n Identify risks, challenges, or delays within assigned workstreams and proactively communicate to engagement leadership with appropriate context\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n Strong knowledge of U.S.

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements for private companies\n Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA (with accounting or finance undergraduate degree), preferred\n Prior experience in audit, advisory, financial consulting, or operational finance, preferably within a private equity backed portfolio company environment\n Strong analytical, Excel, and financial modeling skills\n Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial information\n Strong organizational skills and attention to detail\n Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-driven environment\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting required; CPA or equivalent professional certification required.\n Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.\n Ability to manage multiple priorities within a single engagement environment\n Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and client stakeholders\n Must be able to travel periodically based on client and business needs.\n
