Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: Long-Term Contract Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Developer to support Federal Government HR modernization initiatives. The role focuses primarily on on-premises PeopleSoft HCM, with future consideration for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, test, and support PeopleSoft HCM applications using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher, and SQL. Support Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Position Management, and Self-Service. Troubleshoot application defects, data issues, performance problems, batch processes, and integrations. Support PUM, de-customization, retrofits, PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and migrations. Collaborate with functional teams, testers, DBAs, architects, and developers in a SAFe/Agile environment.
Use Azure DevOps (ADO) for user stories, tasks, defects, and sprint tracking. Maintain technical documentation and provide production support. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, including 3+ years of PeopleSoft HCM. Strong hands-on expertise with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, SQR, BI Publisher, Process Scheduler, and SQL. Experience supporting on-premises PeopleSoft environments.
Strong Oracle Database/SQL skills, including query tuning and troubleshooting. Experience with Agile/SAFe delivery and Azure DevOps.
Preferred Skills
Federal, Army, DoD, or defense-sector PeopleSoft experience.
Experience with Oracle 19c, PTF, PUM, de-customization, upgrades, and integrations.
Knowledge of OCI/cloud migration.
PeopleSoft security experience, including roles, permission lists, and row-level security.
PeopleSoft/PeopleTools certifications are a plus.
