Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong TypeScript development skills to support a critical Automation and Workflow initiative for our client.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications and automation solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This resource will collaborate with the existing AWS and Automation/Workflow teams to provide additional technical expertise, accelerate project delivery, and address development challenges.

This is initially a limited-duration engagement supporting a high-priority business initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS and TypeScript.
• Develop and enhance serverless applications and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with AWS engineers, developers, and the Automation/Workflow team to deliver project requirements.
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot AWS services and cloud-based solutions.
• Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable TypeScript code.
• Implement and integrate REST APIs and event-driven applications.
• Assist with debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
• Follow cloud security best practices and development standards.
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve development bottlenecks and meet project timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Node.js backend development.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, and SQS/SNS.
• Experience building workflow automation and orchestration solutions.
• Knowledge of AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience with DynamoDB or other AWS database services.
• Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience implementing cloud monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is a plus.

We are looking for a hands-on developer who can quickly understand an existing AWS environment, contribute TypeScript development expertise, and deliver solutions with minimal ramp-up time.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working within an established technical team and supporting business-critical development initiatives under tight timelines.
