Role : Sr. Fullstack Engineer (Java + Python+AI)

Location: Pasadena, CA Locals Only

Exp : 10-12+ Years

Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3 Days/Week Onsite

Job Overview

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on Java development experience and secondary experience with Python. This role is primarily focused on backend/application development, with UI/frontend development not being a core requirement.

The ideal candidate should be a strong Java engineer who can contribute to application design and development, perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and effectively leverage AI coding assistants to improve development productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java as the primary programming language.
• Develop backend services, REST APIs, integrations, and application components.
• Use Python for scripting, automation, data processing, utilities, and application support as needed.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on code quality, performance, security, maintainability, and best practices.
• Leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, test generation, documentation, and development productivity.
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code to ensure it meets coding standards, security requirements, and business requirements.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop unit and integration tests and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, architects, and other technical teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

Primary Java

• Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience with microservices is preferred.
• Strong SQL/database knowledge.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.

Primary Python

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Ability to use Python for scripting, automation, utilities, data processing, or backend development.
• Python does not need to be at the same level as Java.

AI-Assisted Development

• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools.
• Ability to effectively use AI for code generation, debugging, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and development acceleration.
• Strong understanding of how to review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
