IT Project Manager (Business Systems & Delivery) A permanent role at a global pharmaceutical manufacturer, managing IT projects of medium complexity and acting as the link between IT, business stakeholders and suppliers. Based in County Down, paying £45,000 to £55,000 DOE. About the Company Our client is a long-established veterinary pharmaceutical company and one of Northern Ireland's leading employers. They develop and manufacture medicines for markets in more than 100 countries. With a strong product portfolio and new launches every year, the business depends more and more on IT change that fits the way it works. This role is there to make sure that happens. The Role You will lead IT projects of up to £250k, or several smaller projects running at once, and connect IT with the rest of the business. That means understanding what stakeholders need, shaping solutions that are practical, supportable and compliant, and then delivering them under proper governance and change control. You will be the person the business, IT and suppliers all rely on to keep decisions moving and delivery on track. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, delivery and governance of IT projects, actively managing scope, timelines, costs, resources, dependencies and expected benefits. Engage with business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, current processes, operational challenges and opportunities to improve. Manage the relationship between IT, the business and suppliers, supporting solution alignment, decisions, escalation and continuous improvement. Make sure proposed solutions are practical, scalable, supportable, compliant and aligned with IT strategy and internal governance. Manage risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies and change control, escalating where outcomes or timelines are at risk. Identify funding sources and resources, and manage project budgets and costs. Track project activities and deliverables against the benefits the business expects. Deliver all work in line with GxP requirements (GMP, GLP) and the relevant SOPs. What You'll Need Experience leading full lifecycle IT projects of medium complexity, or several at once, with accountability for governance, scope, budget, risk, suppliers, change control and benefits realisation is essential, and it is the single most important thing we are looking for. Around 5 years' experience across multiple IT areas, including 2 to 3 years in project management, is essential. Experience using a recognised project management methodology such as PRINCE2 or PMI is essential. Experience managing projects in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, and delivering IT where governance, change control and compliance matter, is essential. Experience working with and contracting third party IT service providers is essential. Strong prioritisation, influencing and communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior managers and with technical and non-technical audiences, are essential. Experience with Microsoft 365, project and portfolio tools, and requirements documentation tools is essential. A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related subject is desirable, though equivalent work experience is equally valued. Business analysis experience is highly advantageous. That includes running workshops, mapping current and future state processes, and turning requirements into scope and user stories. A formal project management certification (PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent) is a strong advantage. Experience delivering IT change in a GxP environment, or leading both infrastructure and applications projects, is a strong advantage. Knowledge of CRM, SCM, ERP, MES or LIMS systems is desirable. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or a track record of simplifying processes and reducing manual effort, is desirable. Why Apply?
