Job Description

My client are a specialist civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Project Manager to help deliver a major tunnelling and shafts project in London. The successful candidate must have strong experience managing tunnelling and shaft construction projects.<br />Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for project delivery
  • Managing project programmes and budgets
  • Client and stakeholder liaison
  • Managing subcontractors and site teams
  • Health and safety compliance
  • Managing RAMS, permits and project documentation
  • Managing tunnelling and shaft construction works
  • Monitoring progress and commercial performance
  • Managing project risks and reporting
  • Ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget and to specification
  • Leading project meetings and providing progress updates<br />Project Manager

Requirements:

  • Black or Gold CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • Strong tunnelling and shafts experience is essential
  • Previous experience managing underground civil engineering projects
  • Experience with SCL, shaft sinking, TBM, pipe jacking or similar tunnelling methods would be advantageous
  • Strong civil engineering background
  • Strong programme and commercial management experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
