Senior Structural Engineer | Leicester

Our client, a growing engineering consultancy based in Leicester, is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to strengthen their structural team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer seeking greater responsibility, client exposure, and involvement in a varied portfolio of projects. Role As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of structural projects from concept through to construction.

Working closely with clients, architects, contractors, and fellow engineers, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors, including:

Residential developments Commercial buildings Industrial facilities Retail schemes Education projects Refurbishment and regeneration schemes You'll be given the autonomy to manage projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities Leading structural design on a variety of projects from feasibility through to detailed design. Designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry. Producing and reviewing structural calculations, reports and technical specifications. Managing project programmes, budgets and client relationships.

Attending site visits, surveys and project meetings. Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants. Mentoring and developing graduate and intermediate engineers. Supporting the technical and commercial success of projects. Requirements Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Several years of experience within a UK structural consultancy environment. Strong technical knowledge of relevant design codes and standards. Experience delivering projects independently. Proficient with industry-standard analysis and design software. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
