Job Description/ Responsibilities :

Design and implement robust Azure database and MS SQL Server architectures that support highly available, scalable and secure enterprise applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for critical business services.
Manage and administer production and nonproduction MS SQL Server instances by configuring resources, monitoring utilization and tuning queries to maintain stable operations and minimize downtime for dependent systems.
Optimize Azure database performance through index strategies, execution plan analysis and resource configuration adjustments to improve response times and throughput for data intensive workloads.
Administer backup and recovery strategies for Azure database and MS SQL Server environments by defining schedules, validating restore procedures and documenting runbooks to safeguard data integrity and business continuity.
Monitor database health using enterprise monitoring tools and native utilities, proactively identifying capacity issues, blocking, deadlocks and long running queries to prevent service degradation. -Implement and enforce database security controls including logins, roles, encryption and auditing configurations to comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards while protecting sensitive information.
Collaborate with application and analytics teams to review data models, stored procedures and integration patterns, providing guidance that improves performance, reliability and maintainability of data solutions.
Coordinate and execute database upgrades, patching and migration activities for Azure database and MS SQL Server by planning cutover steps, validating compatibility and minimizing impact on business operations.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for database standards, configuration baselines, operational procedures and troubleshooting playbooks to support consistent practices across the technology organization.
Provide advanced incident and problem management support for database related issues by performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions and communicating technical findings to stakeholders in clear language.
Engage in capacity planning and cost optimization for Azure database services by analyzing usage trends, recommending right sizing options and forecasting future demands aligned with project roadmaps.
Support hybrid work collaboration by using remote tools to coordinate with global teams, sharing expertise in Azure and MS SQL Server administration to enhance collective knowledge and solution quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data platform resilience and efficiency, enabling the company to deliver reliable digital services that create positive impact for customers and communities.
