Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

Position: Data Center Infrastructure Engineer Location: Santa Clara, California 95050 Work Model: Hybrid Onsite support required as needed
Contract - 12 months
Pay rate - $60/hr - $70/hr W2

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to support infrastructure audit, assessment, operational transition, and ongoing management activities for a highly available production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform onsite infrastructure discovery, inventory, assessment, and documentation.
• Support HPE Synergy/OneView, HPE 3PAR, and Hitachi storage environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware vCenter/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Support SAN/fabric connectivity, multipathing, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Assess infrastructure capacity, performance, lifecycle, and compatibility.
• Develop infrastructure documentation, dependency maps, operational runbooks, and technical recommendations.
• Support remediation planning, change management, maintenance windows, and operational transition.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and technical teams for ongoing infrastructure support.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong data center infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with HPE Synergy/OneView.
• Experience with HPE 3PAR and/or Hitachi storage.
• Strong VMware ESXi/vCenter and Hyper-V experience.
• Knowledge of SAN/fabric technologies, backup/recovery, monitoring, and high-availability environments.
• Ability to provide onsite support in Santa Clara, CA, as required.

Preferred: Experience supporting municipal, utility, critical-infrastructure, or other highly available production environments.
