Position Overview

Seeking a Senior Platform Automation Engineer with strong insurance domain knowledge and expertise in Datadog, ServiceNow CMDB, and Python automation. The role focuses on mapping insurance technology structures into technical service catalogs, improving data quality, and driving platform adoption across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Map insurance lines of business and technology structures into technical service catalogs.

• Manage Datadog Service Catalog, APM tagging, and monitor configurations.

• Work with ServiceNow CMDB, including cmdb_ci_service and relationship tables.

• Analyze data quality and develop matching strategies across systems.

• Build Python-based automation and ETL pipelines using fuzzy matching, scoring, and join logic.

• Drive adoption of shared platform tools and engineering standards.

• Lead phased, metrics-driven rollouts across multiple engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Strong insurance domain knowledge, including carrier technology structures and lines of business.

• Hands-on experience with Datadog, Service Catalog, APM tagging, and monitoring.

• Strong ServiceNow CMDB experience, including service records and relationships.

• Expertise in Python automation, ETL, data matching, and fuzzy logic.

• Experience driving platform adoption and enterprise-wide engineering standards.

• Ability to assess data quality, system reliability, and data relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitLab CI Visibility and project/group tagging.

• Familiarity with Backstage or internal developer portals.

• Knowledge of service dependency mapping.

• Understanding of system-of-record and data provenance concepts
