Job Overview

Seeking a SQL Reliability Engineer / Database SRE to ensure high availability, integrity, and performance across production database systems.

You will oversee SQL code deployments, resolve production incidents, review query performance, and participate in rotational on-call support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tier-3 production support for enterprise SQL Server environments, maintaining uptime and system health.
• Perform in-depth SQL code reviews, query execution plan analyses, and performance tuning.
• Automate database deployments through Azure DevOps (ADO) CI/CD release pipelines.
• Manage failovers, disaster recovery, backups, and production maintenance tasks.
• Participate in scheduled rotational on-call support for critical database incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Database Administration (DBA), Database Reliability, or SRE disciplines.
• Deep hands-on experience supporting production Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
• Proven proficiency in SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and code optimization.
• Hands-on familiarity with automated deployments using ADO (Azure DevOps) or related CI/CD tools.
• Experience with 24/7 high-availability configurations (AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication) and on-call operations.
