The opportunity
We are partnering with one of the UK’s largest and most complex organisations to appoint a Reward Director.
This is a high-profile leadership position with responsibility for shaping and delivering an enterprise-wide reward strategy across a substantial and diverse workforce. Working closely with the executive leadership team and other senior stakeholders, you will ensure the organisation’s approach to reward supports its commercial priorities, transformation agenda and long-term talent strategy.
The role offers exceptional scale, complexity and visibility. It would suit an accomplished reward leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to deliver in a demanding, highly scrutinised environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s overall reward strategy.
- Provide expert advice to executive leaders and senior stakeholders on all aspects of reward.
- Oversee executive remuneration, incentive arrangements, salary frameworks, benefits and recognition programmes.
- Lead annual pay review, bonus and long-term incentive processes.
- Ensure reward programmes remain competitive, commercially sustainable and aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
- Use market insight, benchmarking and workforce data to inform reward decisions.
- Support major business transformation and organisational change initiatives.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing reward team.
- Maintain strong governance and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Build effective relationships with the Remuneration Committee and other key internal and external stakeholders.
About you
You will be an established senior reward professional with experience operating at Reward Director, Head of Reward or an equivalent leadership level within a large and complex organisation.
You are likely to bring:
- Significant experience developing and delivering enterprise-wide reward strategies.
- Strong knowledge of executive remuneration, incentives, benefits and broader compensation frameworks.
- Experience supporting large, diverse or operationally complex workforces.
- The credibility to influence executive teams, boards and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance business priorities, employee considerations and governance requirements.
- Experience leading reward through periods of transformation or organisational change.
- A collaborative leadership style and a track record of building capable, engaged teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
