Release Train Engineer / Agile Program Delivery Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer / Agile Program Delivery Lead to provide delivery leadership for a large, global transformation program. This program is part of a broader Lead-to-Cash transformation focused on improving how customer orders move through the enterprise, from order capture and management through invoicing, payment, and cash application. The program brings together multiple business and technology workstreams, including order management, master and customer data, SAP, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, security, architecture, and enterprise integrations. This individual will serve as a central coordination point across a large, distributed delivery organization. The role will lead the scrum-of-scrums, strengthen alignment between US- and India-based teams, manage cross-team dependencies, and establish the delivery structure needed to execute a complex, multi-year transformation. Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery Leadership

• Lead the scrum-of-scrums across multiple workstreams and delivery pods.
• Establish and continuously improve program-level Agile delivery practices, ceremonies, cadences, and governance.
• Coordinate sprint planning, program increment planning, release planning, retrospectives, and delivery reviews.
• Partner with Scrum Masters to create a consistent and scalable delivery model.
• Coach delivery teams and Scrum Masters on Agile practices, accountability, and predictable execution.
• Help define clear roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and delivery ownership across the program.

Program Coordination and Execution

• Coordinate execution across business, architecture, engineering, data, AI, SAP, security, and partner teams.
• Translate program priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
• Identify delivery gaps, risks, blockers, and competing priorities before they affect program timelines.
• Facilitate timely decision-making and escalate issues with clear recommendations and potential solutions.
• Track program progress and communicate delivery status, risks, dependencies, and decisions to leadership.
• Help teams balance near-term delivery commitments with long-term program objectives.

Cross-Team Dependency Management

• Identify and manage dependencies across workstreams, delivery pods, platforms, and geographic locations.
• Build integrated plans that reflect technical, business, data, security, and organizational dependencies.
• Maintain visibility into critical-path activities, sequencing requirements, and release readiness.
• Bring the appropriate stakeholders together to resolve issues and prevent delivery delays.
• Ensure decisions, actions, and ownership are documented and communicated consistently.

Global Team Leadership

• Coordinate closely with US- and India-based leaders, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams.
• Create effective handoffs and communication practices across time zones.
• Promote shared accountability and consistent execution across distributed teams.
• Partner with a corresponding India-based delivery leader to align priorities, remove obstacles, and improve delivery flow.
• Build strong working relationships across technical and nontechnical teams at multiple organizational levels.

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as a trusted delivery partner to business, technology, architecture, and program leadership.
• Facilitate productive conversations when teams have competing priorities or unclear ownership.
• Present complex program information in a concise, actionable manner.
• Adapt communication for executive leaders, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Create transparency around progress, risks, decisions, and upcoming delivery needs.

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex enterprise technology programs, Agile release trains, or multi-team transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated success in an RTE, Agile Program Lead, Technical Program Manager, Delivery Lead, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, scrum-of-scrums, dependency management, release planning, and continuous improvement.
• Experience coordinating multiple Scrum teams, workstreams, or delivery pods.
• Strong traditional program-management capabilities, including planning, risk management, issue resolution, milestone tracking, and executive reporting.
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, including offshore delivery organizations.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and facilitate discussions across engineering, architecture, data, business, and security teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or evolving programs.
• Strong judgment and willingness to identify gaps, make recommendations, and drive decisions.
• Ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining momentum and delivery accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Lead-to-Cash, Order-to-Cash, quote-to-order, order management, invoicing, payments, or cash-application initiatives.
• Experience with SAP-enabled business transformation programs.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms, master data, customer data, analytics, or data governance.
• Experience coordinating AI, generative AI, or agentic AI workstreams within a larger enterprise program.
• Experience working with architecture, cybersecurity, integration, and platform teams.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework practices.
• SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe Agilist, Scrum, or Project Management certification.
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs with several hundred participants or stakeholders.
• Experience building or maturing a Scrum Master and Agile delivery organization.
• Experience with ADO is preferred.
