Staff Software Engineer .NET & AWS

6-month contract Sydney Hybrid

We're partnered with a fast-growing consultancy with enterprise clients. This role is suitable for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure cloud-based applications.

You'll work hands on across architecture, development and deployment, while guiding engineers and helping shape technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise applications using .NET, C# and AWS


• Lead architecture and system design for cloud-native platforms


• Deliver solutions from development through to production support


• Build secure APIs, microservices and event-driven systems


• Mentor engineers and support technical decision making


• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and code quality

Required experience

• Strong commercial experience with .NET, .NET Core and C#


• Deep AWS and cloud-native development experience


• Proven solution architecture and distributed systems experience


• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and event driven architecture


• Hands on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD


• Strong understanding of security, testing, observability and production reliability


• Experience leading complex technical initiatives

Experience with Generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, RAG, LLMs or vector databases would be highly regarded.
