Location: Irving, TX(Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

A Talend Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and operational support of the Talend platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of enterprise data integration environments.

1. Environment Administration

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Talend components such as:
    • Talend Administration Center (TAC)
    • Talend Job Server
    • Talend Runtime
    • Talend Repository
    • Talend Cloud Management Console
  • Manage Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

2. User & Security Management

  • Create and manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Configure authentication mechanisms (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO).
  • Implement security policies and access controls.
  • Maintain audit logs and compliance requirements.

3. Job Deployment & Scheduling

  • Deploy Talend jobs across various environments.
  • Configure and manage job scheduling through TAC, Control-M, Autosys, or other schedulers.
  • Monitor job execution and ensure successful completion.
  • Support release and deployment activities.

4. Platform Monitoring & Support

  • Monitor Talend services, servers, and repositories.
  • Troubleshoot job failures, connectivity issues, and platform-related incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
  • Provide L2/L3 production support.

5. Performance & Capacity Management

  • Monitor server utilization, memory, CPU, and storage consumption.
  • Tune Job Servers and Talend components for optimal performance.
  • Plan infrastructure scaling and capacity requirements.

6. Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
  • Perform repository backups and restoration testing.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution.

7. Repository & Version Control Management

  • Administer Talend repositories and project workspaces.
  • Integrate and manage Git, SVN, or other version control systems.
  • Ensure repository integrity and governance standards.

8. CI/CD & DevOps Support

  • Configure deployment automation using:
    • Jenkins
    • GitLab CI/CD
    • Azure DevOps
  • Support automated build and release pipelines.
  • Manage artifact repositories and deployment packages.

9. Cloud Administration

  • Manage Talend Cloud environments and user access.
  • Configure cloud connections, remote engines, and environment settings.
  • Monitor cloud resource utilization and operational health.

10. Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain operational runbooks and SOPs.
  • Document installation, configuration, and deployment procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
