·        Team expansion into AWS, Snowflake, and advanced Python development requires additional specialized technical expertise.

·        Projects involving cloud architecture, analytical engineering, data modeling, and AI/ML demand skills to be executed successfully.

·        A specialist is critical to maintaining project timelines and ensuring delivery of scalable, modern data solutions.

·        Role will support the design and creation of logical and physical data models aligned with complex business and technical needs.

·        Position will produce analytical models that enhance reporting, decision-making, and overall data-driven insights across the organization.

·        Collaboration across business units, application teams, DBAs, and leadership requires an experienced technical resource to develop high-quality analytical solutions.

·        The specialist will help business units improve their ability to serve taxpayers through improved data solutions and insights.

·        Staying current with emerging analytics and database technologies is essential; this role will lead to evaluation and testing of new tools for possible adoption.

·        Position strengthens the department’s capability to support continued modernization efforts and long-term data strategy.

Required/Desired Skills

·        Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

·        Highly skilled in data analysis software and statistical analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, IOP suite).

·        Highly skilled in business intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos).

·        Highly skilled in coding and reporting (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

·        Highly skilled in data preparation and transformation, machine learning, predictive and prescriptive analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx).

·        Highly skilled in SQL and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL).

·        Experience with Snowflake.

·        Experience with Streamlit.
