Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: New York, NY (On-site)

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 + Annual Bonus

About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing SaaS organization is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology strategy, product engineering, and software development initiatives.

This executive leadership role is ideal for a hands-on technology leader who has successfully scaled SaaS platforms and can bridge strategic business objectives with technical execution. The CTO will oversee engineering, infrastructure, security, and product development while building a high-performing technology organization capable of supporting continued growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead software engineering, product development, DevOps, and IT teams.
• Drive the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Establish engineering best practices across software development, deployment, testing, and DevOps.
• Oversee software architecture, infrastructure, and platform reliability.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance with industry standards, including GDPR and SOC 2.
• Partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that create competitive advantage.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and ROI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and technology leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technology leadership role within a SaaS environment.
• Proven experience scaling cloud-based SaaS platforms in a high-growth organization.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in software architecture, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standards.
• Experience leading Agile software development teams.
• Excellent communication, executive leadership, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to balance innovation with execution in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Must be FLUENT in RUSSIAN and/or UKRAINIAN
