Job Description

Location: Washington, DC (On-site) We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to provide technical leadership across cybersecurity engineering, cloud engineering, Agile DevSecOps, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Zero Trust initiatives. The successful candidate will provide overall technical direction, develop implementation strategies, and oversee the execution of cybersecurity engineering activities in support of a Federal Government customer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Federal, DHS, and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity architectures, standards, technologies, and emerging cybersecurity practices, with the ability to translate these into practical technical solutions. Key Responsibilities
Provide overall technical direction for cybersecurity engineering activities across all assigned task areas.
Lead cybersecurity initiatives involving cloud engineering, Agile DevSecOps, AI/ML, and Zero Trust.
Develop and implement technical plans aligned with Federal cybersecurity requirements.
Provide expertise on Federal, DHS, and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity architectures, standards, and technologies.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging cybersecurity technologies and best practices into technical solutions.
Translate cybersecurity architectures and technical guidance into implementable engineering plans.
Oversee execution of cybersecurity engineering plans to ensure successful project delivery.
Collaborate with Government stakeholders and technical teams to support mission objectives.
Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity engineering on projects of similar size and scope.
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, DHS, and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity architectures, standards, and technologies.
Experience supporting cloud engineering, Agile DevSecOps, AI/ML, and Zero Trust initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to translate cybersecurity architectures and technical guidance into executable engineering plans. Certifications:
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Scrum (Scrum certification) Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in additional cloud platforms, including but not limited to:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Office 365 Current or prior experience supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Demonstrated experience working within DHS organizations or on DHS cybersecurity engineering programs is highly preferred.
