Civil Engineer

ARS Consultancyis seeking an experienced and motivatedCivil Engineerto join our team. Due to current project requirements and increased workload, we are looking to appoint a suitable candidateas soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to support the effective delivery of civil and structural engineering projects from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Undertaking site inspections, setting-out activities and engineering surveys.
• Monitoring construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Preparing as-built information, inspection records and project documentation.
• Supporting quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and other members of the project team.
• Identifying and assisting with the resolution of technical and site-related issues.
• Monitoring project progress and assisting with programme and resource planning.
• Ensuring engineering activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Supporting project handover, inspections and completion documentation.

Candidate requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience within civil, structural or construction engineering.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and engineering principles.
• Experience of site inspections, setting out, QA/QC and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with UK construction standards and working practices.
• Competence in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering or project-management software.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Salary:£48,000£55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Hours:37.5 hours per week
Contract:Full-time, permanent
Start date:As soon as possible
