Job Description

Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX 78701
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Mode of Interview: Phone /Video and In Person
Description:
The Project Manager will:
  • Lead endtoend project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for the AL Laptop Refresh Project.
  • Manage project schedule, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with A&L leadership, Service Desk, IT Operations, Enterprise Information Security, and Asset Management teams.
  • Oversee daily deployment logistics including device imaging, scheduling of staff appointments, onsite technician assignments, tracking of completion counts, and mitigation of deployment blockers.
  • Partner with ITS refresh teams to ensure smooth hardware delivery, readiness, and deployment.
  • Ensure all activities align with OAG standards, statewide guidance, and ITSAC contracting requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, RAID logs, change control, acceptance criteria, and closeout packages.
Support improvement of refresh processes for followon divisions, reflecting lessons learned from the AL rollout.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive IT project management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs.
  • Expertise in SDLC, PMBOK, Agile delivery coordination, change management, and enterprise IT operations.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly with executives, technical teams, and endusers.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and crossfunctional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and standard OAG workflow tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CSM, or ITIL certifications.
  • Experience with Texas state agencies.
  • Prior experience supporting statewide IT.
  • Experience organizing logistics for deployments exceeding 800+ devices.
