Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to support financial transformation and data integration initiatives across a growing organization.
Summary:
This role combines finance, systems, and data analysis, requiring a hands-on professional who can navigate complex datasets, identify data issues, and help improve financial processes and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large volumes of data, and capable of partnering with finance, accounting, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze, consolidate, and prepare financial and operational data from multiple source systems to support system implementation and transformation initiatives
* Utilize advanced Excel techniques, Power Query, and other data tools to clean, organize, and transform complex datasets
* Support data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate migration and reporting outcomes
* Investigate data variances, inconsistencies, and balancing issues, performing root-cause analysis and coordinating resolution efforts
* Partner with finance and business stakeholders to improve financial processes, reporting structures, and data governance practices
* Assist with system testing, validation, and user acceptance activities to ensure data integrity and business readiness
* Develop and maintain repeatable tools, templates, and automation solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
* Translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful business insights and recommendations
* Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, business analysis, data analysis, or a similar analytical role
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets
* Experience using Power Query or similar data transformation tools
* Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including general ledger structures, financial reporting, reconciliations, and debits/credits
* Proven ability to analyze data, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
* Ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results with minimal supervision
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
